Named Outstanding Graduate from the 2005 DVC Dental Hygiene Program, Joanna was also recognized with the Faculty Recognition Award, and the Student Leadership Award by California Hygienists’ Association and Proctor & Gamble. She was invited and has been actively serving on the DVC Dental Hygiene Program Advisory Board since 2005.
Joanna loves people and is passionate about sharing knowledge and finely tuned teaching skills regarding the connection between oral health and systemic health. Patient education is a huge priority, helping others achieve oral health while establishing lasting personal relationships. A positive attitude while caring for patients comes naturally to Joanna.
She was born in Walnut Creek and loves living in downtown Benicia with her husband, together since becoming high school sweethearts. They’re proud parents of a USAF veteran son who served a tour in Afghanistan and a daughter who graduated from UC Berkeley, Haas School of Business.
Other passions include interior design, architecture, DIY projects, travel, family, God’s beauty & country music.
