DELTA DENTAL PATIENTS

Here are some important reminders about the upcoming change with Delta Dental and your dental office, Coliseum Dental Walnut Creek:

No. Although we are ending our current contract with Delta, we will continue to accept patients who have Delta Dental Insurance.  The difference is that we will be out of network providers.  See below for details on how that might affect you.

Despite our change in relationship with Delta Dental, you can keep Coliseum Dental WC as your dental office. Your continued trust and loyalty means everything to us, and we are committed to providing you with the same exceptional care you have come to expect from us.

Rest assured, we will handle the billing process for you. You can focus on your dental health while we take care of the administrative details. The difference is the insurance payment will be sent to you, which usually takes around 30 days after the claim has been sent.

You should expect some correspondence from Delta Dental instructing you to seek dental care elsewhere. You are still our valued patient, and we are here to serve you. You do NOT need to change offices.

Although premiums have continued to rise over the past decade, reimbursements have remained stagnant. With ever increasing costs of supplies, labor and utilities, we cannot continue to offer high-quality care at their rates. Also, restrictions on procedures and new providers have made it very difficult to provide our best treatment within Delta’s contract.

The official date is June 1, 2024. We will honor Delta fees until December 31, 2024 for those patients who have treatment planned.

You will have the same annual limit per your insurance plan. There will most likely be a change in the allowed fee schedule from Delta. Our front desk team will be there to help!

In most cases yes, in some cases where financial arrangements have been made, we will offer payment plans or outside financing.

We prefer to handle your financial obligations at the time of service.

We will honor the fees that were quoted for your treatment until December 31, 2024.

No. Be confident knowing that you can continue to receive the best dental care available. As a courtesy we will submit the claim, x-rays and documentation so that you can maximize your dental benefits.

We accept most insurance companies that allow you to choose your own dentist.

Our in-house membership plan is called “Plan for Health.” It is a membership that provides discounts on treatment as well as prepaying for exams, x-rays, and cleanings.

Yes. Being an out-of-network provider allows you to do this and maximize your benefits.
